Mystery Monday-unknown photograph



Here is another photograph that was in my grandmothers box of letters and pictures.  I don't know if this person was on my grandmother McFadden's or grandfather Webb's side.  On the back is written "Grandad".

    Hmm, does he look like anyone else in your family? I'm not very good at dating clothing, especially men's, but I'm guessing late 1860s. What do you think?

      I'm guessing around the same time period as well, probably between 1860 to 1880.

      When I first saw the picture I thought it resembled my grandmother a little, but I can't be sure that I didn't want to see that.

    I also just noticed that you are researching the Webb family. I have some in my tree as well. What part of the country are they from?

      My Webbs come from Arkansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, and South Carolina. It is possible that I descend from a Jeremiah Webb who fought in the Revolution, however I have not proven it yet.
